This blister contains six unpainted figures, two each of three poses shown.

By Napoleonic times, a lot of the Janissary Orta (Regiments)were quite large and in practice constituted a pool of manpower. When a campaign was planned the orta would be ordered to provide a service ‘battalion’ (often 1000 men) for the army. Djivelek were Janissary cadets nearing the end of their training, who often fought alongside older janissaries. They were distinguished by a tall pointed yellow hat. The figures will require assembling and painting, Basing is not included.
